b-Glucans have for some time been
known to have immunostimulatory effects in mammals, and belong to a class
of compounds known as biological response modifiers (BRMs). Glucan
fragments increase host resistance to a diverse range of microbial
pathogens, promote the regression of certain tumours, and improve survival
after exposure to opportunistic infections. We now offer a range of b glucooligosaccharides for research in this
area.
