Antibodies for Signal Transduction, Chemokine & Hormone Receptors, Nuclear Proteins & Kinases

Polyclonal antibodies against
  • IL-1R associated kinase and accessory protein
  • JAK activated transcription factor
  • adapters in IL-1 and LPS signaling

Signal transduction provides a means for communication at the cellular level. The movement of signals from outside the cell to the inside can be simple, like that associated with receptors constituting channels which, upon ligand interaction, allow passage of small ions. These ion movements result in changes in the electrical potential of the cells that, in turn, propagates the signal along the cell.
More complex signal transduction involves the coupling of ligand-receptor interactions to many intracellular events which often constitute cascade-like pathways. These events include phosphorylations of distinct amino acids by specific kinases which change enzyme activities and protein conformations. This eventually results in an alteration of cellular activity and changes in the program of genes expressed within the responding cells.
