|
QuickCells Chemically Competent E. coli are specially optimized to achieve excellent transformation efficiencies with a novel 3-minute transformation protocol. In addition, with QuickCells, you can perform the heat shock step at 37 °C, eliminating the inconvenient 42 °C water bath. QuickCells Chemically Competent E. coli are great for routine cloning experiments. The quick and easy protocol also makes them ideal for high-throughput transformations. QuickCells Chemically Competent E. coli have been prepared using a unique procedure to allow robust performance under diverse conditions.
For different cloning vectors there are diverse QuickCells Chemically Competent E. coli strains available. For use with M13 cloning vectors QuickCells F’ are suitable. Furthermore QuickCells BL21(DE3) and QuickCells BL21(DE3)pLys for efficient transgene expression from T7 promoter-based vectors are available. Both strains contain the λDE3 lysogen.

Most commercially available competent cells are tested using pure plasmids and under optimized transformation conditions. When they are transformed with real-life ligation mixtures you frequently get mediocre transformation efficiencies. RichCells Chemically Competent E. coli are highly optimized for highest and most robust transformation performances under diverse conditions, even when using ligation mixtures.
RichCells F’ Chemically Competent E. coli are also available for use with M13 cloning vectors.
