The Mobicol “F” columns for affinity chromatography are compatible to the laboratory standard. With affinity matrix they are convenient for:

  
  Mobicol  
  • Purification of peptides
  • Purification of tagged proteins
  • Purification of native proteins (using immobilized IgG, NTP-binding proteins, β-lactamase, Igase, peroxidase, erythropoietin, β-galactosidase)
  • Fractionation and purification of antibodies (using protein A/G, immobilized epitopes, peptide matrix)
  • Purification of glycoproteins, and carbohydrates
  • Purification of fatty acids and fatty acid binding proteins
  • Whole mount embryo in situ hybridization

A filter of 35 µm pore size is inserted and a separately available upper filter conveniently caps the resin bed. The columns can be closed tightly with a screw-on cap and a snap-off plug at the outlet.

The MobiSpin Column "F" is convenient for diverse applications. You can fill in your matrix of your choice and spin the column in every common centrifuge in 1.5 ml oder 2 ml cups. For prefilled MobiSpin Columns "F" please see the related products.
For example you can use MobiSpin Columns "F" with gel filtration matrix for:

  • Removal of unicorporated dyes or dye terminators for purification of DNA after labeling reactions
  • DNA purification prior to sequencing
  • Removal of free nucleotides
  • Oligonucleotide purification after synthesis


  
  Mobicol   The column can be tightly closed with the screw cap. Snap off the outlet plug for emptying the column and use the reverse side of the plug for closing.

Mobicol "classic": centrifugable 1 ml column (actual volume with small lower filter 800 µl);
 


Filters:
Filter of the pore sizes 10 µm, 35 µm or 90 µm are available separately for Mobicol "classic". The filters can be inserted easily with the help of a plastic tool, which is delivered with the columns. The upper large filter fits tightly over the whole length of the column body.

Empty spin columns:
Since Mobicol "classic" can be centrifuged in minifuges, they are also excellent as spin columns. Our empty spin columns come with screw-cap, inserted filter (10 µm) and bottom plug.
