Grow'n'Glow High Efficiency Yeast Transformation Kit

The High Efficiency Yeast Transformation Kit provides all of the reagents required to perform a non-electrical alkali-cation method for transforming yeast with linear or plasmid DNA. Host cells are made competent by treatment with a lithium/cesium acetate mixture. The entire procedure may be completed in less than 90 minutes and routinely provides a transformation efficiency of greater than 104 transformants per µg of DNA, using YEP24 plasmid DNA. 25 preparations of competent yeast cells can be performed (5 - 10 transformations per prep).

Grow'n'Glow Fast and Easy Yeast Transformation Kit
Features:
- no need for fully competent cells
- high throughput and high transformation
- efficiency (approximately 1 x 103 per µg DNA)
- ideal for analyzing clones in two-hybrid screens
The Fast and Easy Yeast Transformation Kit is designed for high-throughput transformation. It is ideal for cases where large numbers of transformations are required but only a few transformants are needed (i.e. transformation with a single homogenous vector). Thus, this kit is ideal for analyzing "putative positives" obtained from two-hybrid screens. This kit is not designed for high efficiency transformation. However, it is capable of achieving transformation efficiencies of up to 1000 colonies per µg of DNA with minimal hands-on time. (For high efficiency transformation use the transformation kit described above.)
The Fast and Easy Yeast Transformation Kit does not require competent cells prior to transformation. A simple, 5 minute protocol is followed by overnight incubation at room temperature and plating on selective media.

The Grow'n'Glow Yeast Plasmid Isolation Kit is designed for the isolation of plasmid DNA from yeast cells. It uses DNA purification with porous glass in conjunction with spin filter technology to increase throughput and achieve optimal DNA quality. The isolated DNA can be used successfully in PCR screens and bacterial transformations. The same kit can be used to isolate plasmid DNA from recombinant bacteria for use in any downstream application (PCR, sequencing, restriction enzyme analysis, labeling, etc.). This dual purpose kit is ideal for screening putative positive yeast transformants obtained from two-hybrid screens.

Y2H Yeast Transformation Kit
Our new yeast transformation kit contains all necessary reagents for high-efficiency transformation of yeast. Carefully optimized components, together with large-fragment carrier-DNA ensure that you will achieve optimal tansformation efficiencies required for yeast two-hybrid library screening. In addition, small scale transformation reactions can be performed, for example when transforming multiple plasmids into yeast.
Protocols are provided for quick standard transformation and for library-scale transformation.
