Polyclonal antibodies
Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, is related to many diseases and induced by a family of cell death receptors and their ligands. Cell death signals are transduced by death domain (DD)- and/or caspase recruitment domain (CARD) containing molecules and members of the caspase family of proteases. These death signals finally cause the degradation of chromosomal DNA by activated DNase. Apoptosis also occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms and is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand of the TNF family through their DD-containing receptors, TNFR1 and Fas.
