DBCO reactions are ideal for surface labeling of live cells and also minimize damage to fluorescent proteins like GFP or R-PE. The Cy5 DBCO is reactive with azide via a Strain-promoted Azide-Alkyne Click Chemistry reaction (SPAAC). |
