| Description: | Liposomal Ions ׀ Liposomal potassium is designed for delivery of potassium across the cell membranes. Potassium chloride at an internal concentration of 150 mM is encapsulated in the liposome. The external potassium concentration is 2 mM. To ensure the delivery efficiency, the lipid composition of the liposomal potassium is the same as that for a liposomal drug in clinic which is HSPC: DSPE-PEG2000: cholesterol (3:1:1, mass ratio). The average size of liposomes is about 130 nm. This product includes 2 ml of 150 mM potassium chloride encapsulated in 6 mg/ml liposomes in 0.1 M NaCl. |
