|This is a Histone 3 lysine 36 dimethylated peptide. This peptide has been shown to recruit histone deacetylase complex with nucleosomes and repress transcription. In addition, owing to its epigenetic repressive mark, it allows demethylation by a Jumonji C-domain family member, JMJD5 that functions as a transcription activator by inhibiting HDAC, and regulates cell cycle proliferation.
