| Description: | Corynebacterium Diphteriae - Corynebacterium is a genus of bacteria that are widely distributed in nature in the microbiota of animals. Toxin producing C. diphtheriae infects the respiratory tract and causes most notably diphtheria. Diphtheria spreads from person to person, usually through respiratory droplets. AmpliSens Corynebacterium diphtheriae / tox-genes-FRT PCR kit is an in vitro nucleic acid amplification test for qualitative detection of Corynebacterium diphtheriae DNA and genes encoding toxins of Corynebacterium diphtheriae and Corynebacterium ulcerans in the biological material (naso- and oropharyngeal swabs, swabs from affected areas of skin) using real-time hybridization-fluorescence detection of amplified products. The material for PCR is DNA extracted from test material. |
