The DPPC Liposome for DNA and RNA Nanoparticles has the lipid composition of DPPC:Cholesterol:Dodecylamine = 6.6:3.4:1. The empty liposome shows a mean size of 120 nm. Upon loading DNA or RNA at a mass ratio of lipid / RNA (or DNA) = 33, the liposome size is almost doubled. Loading of DNA or RNA is performed by a simple incubation step. The DNA or RNA-loaded liposomes are DNA or RNA nanoparticles that may be used for various applications in bioscience research and drug discovery projects.
