| Description: | Liposomal Ions ׀ Liposomal magnesium is used for delivery of magnesium ions across the cell membranes. Magnesium acetate is encapsulated in liposomes composed of 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC) and cholesterol in a mass ratio of 1.9:1 at total lipid concentration of 10 mg/ml. The magnesium concentration in the liposome is 100 mM. The magnesium encapsulation percentage is more than 99 %. The average size of liposomes is about 80 nm with poly dispersity index (dpi) of 0.1. This product includes 2 ml of 150 mM magnesium acetate encapsulated in liposomes. |
