| Description: | Liposomal Ions ׀ Liposomal cobalt is designed for delivery of cobalt across the cell membranes. Cobalt chloride at an internal concentration of 15 mM is encapsulated in the liposome. The external cobalt concentration is 0.3 mM. To ensure the delivery efficiency, the lipid composition of the liposomal cobalt is the same as that for a liposomal drug in clinic which is HSPC: DSPE PEG2000: cholesterol (3:1:1, mass ratio). The average size of liposomes is about 110 nm. This product includes 2 ml of 15 mM cobalt chloride encapsulated in 6 mg/ml liposomes in 0.1 M NaCl. |
