| Description: | Membrane Protein Extraction Tools ׀ Purification of membrane proteins requires solubilization (extraction) of the proteins from the cell membranes. The common problems are (1) the interested membrane protein is not efficiently extracted from the membranes or (2) the protein is extracted in an inactive form. ProFoldin’s Membrane Protein Extraction Solutions provide optimal conditions for efficient extraction and stabilization of membrane proteins from the cell membranes by using a variety of non-denaturing detergent and synthetic lipid analogs including alkyl saccharides, acyl-N-methylglucamide, bile acid salt, alkylaminoxide, alkylpolyethylenes, zwitterionic detergents, and synthetic phosphocholine derivatives. This product includes 40 ml of Solution #9 for large-scale preparative extraction of membrane proteins (up to 130 mg) from the cell membranes. |
