Pancreatic leukocyte elastase is a serine proteinase that is secreted by neutrophils during inflammation to destroy bacteria as well as host tissue. MeOSuc-AAPV-4MbNA can be used for in vitro assays with purified enzyme or with biological fluids or conditioned medium. This product is not a substrate for cathepsin G or chymotrypsin. Activity is quantified by release of free fluorescent 4-Methoxy-"-naphthylamine (4M"NA) which excites at 335-350 nm and emits at 410-440 nm. » References 1. A.M. et al.
