TransIT®-293 Transfection Reagent is specifically optimized to provide exceptional transfection efficiency of plasmid DNA in HEK 293 and cell types of associated lineage. HEK 293 cells are commonly used for protein and virus production because they are well characterized, grow heartily in a variety of cell culture media (e.g. serum-free conditions) and are amenable to scale-up in biomanufacturing processes. TransIT®-293 Transfection Reagent provides high transfection efficiency, low toxicity, serum compatibility, simplicity of use, and reproducibility. Transfections with TransIT-293 Reagent do not require medium changes.
