| Description: | pBR322 is an ampicillin and tetracycline resistant, general purpose cloning vector. Several inactivating cloning sites are present in the antibiotics resistance genes, which, if a reading frame shift occurs, will give rise to AmpR/TcS or, alternatively, AmpS/TcR transformants. Cloning sites are indicated on the data sheet. Features: • pBR322 DNA is a commonly used plasmid cloning vector in E. coli • The molecule is a double-stranded circle 4,361 base pairs in length • pBR322 contains the genes for resistance to ampicillin and tetracycline |
